I was treated to pancakes for breakfast which was a great excuse to sit on my new stools which I got for my birthday.
We gave Ewan his first taste of pancake with home made raspberry jam which he LOVED. Was really cute to watch.
As a bit of a Mothers day gift, Roge has been busy in the shed over the last few evenings, putting together a few things for the new shack. I'm going for a bit of a relaxed, vintage type look so I purchased this old packing box for $5 from the Hobart tip shop to use as a side table.
Roge has made a myrtle timber top for it which he has oiled for a matt finish. Looks great and I can't wait to get it into the shack (which we get the keys for tomorrow...woohoo!)
I've also put together a little Mothers day gift for my Mum.
She wanted new face washers but to that I added a bit of English fine boned china which I had found at the Evandale market, some new hankies (she's "old school" and still uses hankies!) and lots of chocolate.
I'll see her after lunch today so the last gift I'll give her is a big cuddle and a cuppa tea. I love my Mum to bits and consider her to be my best friend. She has done more for me than I could possibly explain and has been an amazing role model for me. I hope I can be as wonderful mother for Ewan.
Happy Mothers Day to all the Mum's out there!
Those stools, are they the ones that they have had on the block, last year? very modern :)
ReplyDeleteThe bundle of love you put together for your mum looks very cute, did she love it?
Yep she did. I got a big cuddle for it :)
DeleteThose stools are pretty popular. Roge got them shipped in from Melbourne as they're hard to find and expensive when you buy them here in Tas!
Yeah I was going to say that I havent seen them around mt travels in tassie.
DeleteWhat room is next for you to put up? I am excited :)
Haha, I've only got a small house and you've nearly seen it all! I guess I'll have to get off my butt, throw off the nanna blanket that is draped over my legs (because it's so cold) and take some pics of outside. Don't worry though, I've got a new beach shack to share as I start decorating it so I won't run out of decorating pics :)
DeleteHaha yes it has been very cold these days, nothing like snuggling with a warm blankie.
DeleteI read your post on your new shack, very exciting about getting the keys I reckon. If I can ask, Where is the shack at?
Thats so great to hear hehe, im excited to see more of your decorating photos :D
HI Dahra,
DeleteThe shack is on the north coast at a place called Weymouth. It's about 30 kilometres from George town and towards Bridport. Have a Google and check it out!
